Top Four Skin Sins (Shades 102)

we are all sinners when we refer to skin care. Yeah! We are. Most of the times, it is merely due to carefree attitudes but sometimes lack of knowledge is responsible for some habits that really harm our skin. So beetter late than never, let us have a look at some commonsins that we might be committing, unaware of its serious consequences and effects.

Leaving Makeup On All Night

Sleeping with your makeup on results in skin breakouts caused by clogged pores. So no matter how tired you are at the end of any day, always make sure that you properly clean the makeup on your face before going to bed. Use a gentle face cleanser appropriate for your skin type to wash off the makeup, then use a makeup remover for removing the eye makeup.

Going Out Without Using Sunscreen and Moisturiser

If you have been avoiding a regular application of sunscreen or moisturizer or sunscreen when going out, you are actually inviting many skin troubles. Premature aging is one of the greatest threats to such skins that are either damaged by the UV rays present in the indoor environment or dehydration caused by under-nourishment. So even if you mostly stay indoors, it is a must to apply a sunscreen and a moisturizer. While an SPF 15 sunscreen is enough for all such users, the ones with oily skin need to get a water-based or gel moisturizer.

Exfoliating Unnecessarily

Exfoliate every two days no matter your skin type but if your skin is not excessively oily, daily exfoliation is not only an unnecessary activity but it will also remove the precious and protective living cells that result in a damaged texture.

Age Long Cosmetics

If you usually delay throwing away the old lip gloss, mascaras, pencils and foundations, you are at the highest risk of getting serious skin infections. All cosmetics become stale after crossing the expiry limit and they no longer deserve to stay in your make-up kit. The best policy is to buy limited stuff so that it can be used within the recommended period.

Listen to your skin and know what it needs. Don’t use anything or everything that seems promising because your skin is unique and it deserves special care.
